Upcoming Programs at the Visitor Center

Thursday, February 8, 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.- Four Flyways ~Four Wildlife Refuges: Films Highlighting Refuges Along Each Flyway. 

enjoy four short films highlighting refuges along each of the flyways: Bombay Hook NWR, Atlantic Flyway; DeSoto NWR, Mississippi Flyway; Charles M. Russell NWR, Central Flyway; and Kodiak NWR, Pacific Flyway.   These films will be shown at Maine Coastal Islands NWR Visitor Center in Rockland at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will last about 1 hour.  Bring a bag lunch or snack, and enjoy learning about the wide diversity of wildlife that these refuges support. 

Wednesday, February 21, 6:30 p.m.  An Expedition through Nambia – Carla Skinder takes you on a photographic expedition through Nambia seeing both animals and people.  Encounters with elephants, birds, the Himba Tribe and fur seals are sure to entice you to visit this incredible land.
