Upcoming Programs at the Visitor Center

Saturday, December 1, 11 a.m. -2 p.m. – Holiday Open House & Artists’ Reception –

 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Meet our new artists: Sharon Boody-Dean, Sandy Cirillo and Sherrie York

12 noon – 1 p.m.  Movie: Counting on Birds – learn about this longest-running wildlife census in the world- the Christmas bird count!

1 p.m. – 2 p.m. For the Birds Coffee House – How many types of birds can we find in songs? Our coffee house will feature the group, Ukes Rock, who will open with a set of bird songs.  Singers are invited to perform one or two songs that mention a type of bird. Let’s see how many birds we can count in music!

The Nature Store will be open throughout the open house, stocked with great gift items for the holidays.

Saturday, December 8, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Holiday shopping at the Refuge and Movie break

If you missed our open house and want to get some nature-related gifts, we will be open on this day.  The movie: Counting on Birds will be shown at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  In this movie, meet bird lovers who participate in the National Audubon Society’s annual Christmas Bird Count, from the forests of New Hampshire and Maine, to the mountains of Ecuador and tropics of Cuba.  It’s the longest-running wildlife census in the world. 


Programs are provided by the Friends in partnership with the Refuge.  Your donations help bring in more programs.  Please give generously.
