Donations to Friends of Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge help fund educational programs for children and adults at the Visitor Center, as well as outreach in the community on behalf of the Refuge.
Friends of Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge is a community-based, non-profit conservation organization with 501(c)(3) tax status from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Volunteers share their talents in many ways, including working on maintenance projects for the Refuge, organizing events, serving on our committees, and providing educational outreach. Currently, our most pressing need for volunteers is staffing our Visitor Center in Rockland. As a small, community-based nonprofit, we rely on the generous support of volunteers.
